Memphis man admits to strangling girlfriend to death, hiding body inside SUV

MEMPHIS, Tenn.  - A Memphis man pled guilty after being charged in the murder of his girlfriend.  Carlos Payton, 34, was sentenced to 25 years in prison without possibility of parole for strangling his girlfriend to death and leaving her body inside an SUV, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. The incident happened on Sept. 29, 2015. Officers first were called to the 5000 block of Benjestown Road where they found the body of Pryncess Jackson, 23, in the back of her SUV. Payton was arrested later that day and told investigators he strangled her during an argument that morning at another location.  He then put her body in the SUV, parked it behind a vacant home on Benjestown and walked away carrying their 3-year-old daughter.

Mother, daughter accused of killing 5 family members, including 3 children

MORRISVILLE, Pa.  - Pennsylvania authorities arrested two women Monday after finding the bodies of five of their family members inside the apartment they shared in Bucks County. District Attorney Matthew Weinstraub said Shana Decree, 45, and her daughter Dominique Decree, 19, were charged with five counts each of criminal homicide and one count of conspiracy to commit criminal homicide.  Updated 12:30 p.m. EST Feb. 26:  A criminal complaint filed by Pennsylvania authorities showed officers found the bodies of Shana and Dominique Decree’s family members on Monday afternoon during an unannounced child welfare check. No one answered when a caseworker with Bucks County Children and Youth knocked on the family’s apartment door Monday, but a maintenance worker was able to get into the apartment, according to police. A shootout in a Memphis motel parking lot ended with a police chase and a teenager in custody, according to the Memphis Police Department. Investigators said an MPD officer was patrolling the 4800 block of American Way when he heard several gunshots being fired within the motel complex. He was then passed by a speeding black pickup truck. The officer tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver refused, and a chase ensued, according to MPD. The pursuit continued to the area of Weaver and Canary, where the suspects pulled over the road into a grassy area and eventually crashed into a ditch. Police said the suspects tried to run away, but a 16-year-old was caught and taken into custody. The second suspect got away, despite MPD utilizing K-9 units and air support. After spending the weekend in a Chicago jail,  R. Kelly  posted bail Monday,  thanks to  a local woman who says she is his friend. Now, she’s explaining why she paid the singer’s $100,000 bail and defending him as a “gentleman” toward her. Valencia P. Love  spoke to Fox23 reporter Tia A. Ewing Tuesday, Feb. 26. Court records show Love, a local restaurant and day care owner, is a 47-year-old resident of the Chicago suburb of Romeoville. She paid the required 10 percent of the $1 million bond against Kelly, who has been  arrested in  Cook County and charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse Friday. The charges involve four females, including three minors, according to The Associated Press. Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg,  entered  a not guilty plea on his behalf ahead of his release Monday. MEMPHIS, Tenn.  - A Memphis man is being charged in the murder of a woman who was found shot to death in her car days before Christmas.James Abston, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Tyesha Wallace. The charge stems from a deadly shooting that happened on December 21, 2018.Police found Wallace unresponsive in a Ford Mustang with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.Officers found bullet fragments and shell casings both in the vehicle and outside of it in the street, according to an arrest affidavit.Investigators said that car was registered to Abston, who was developed as a person of interest in the case. Abston and Wallace had a history of domestic violence, according to police. The affidavit states Abston was documented as the primary aggressor. HUNTSVILLE, Ala.  - An argument over crab legs at an Alabama restaurant Friday boiled over and resulted in the arrests of two steamed customers,  WHNT  reported. The incident in the food line at the Meteor Buffet in Huntsville was witnessed by police Officer Gerald Johnson, who was eating when the fight broke out, the television station reported. "Literally, (it happened) as I sat down and maybe took two bites out of my plate," Johnson told  WHNT . "There's a woman who's beating a man. 50 Cent is a genius mixed with a lot of savage! Ja Rule was recently booked for a halftime show during the Milwaukee Bucks game for a 90’s artist promo they had going. Funny thing is Ja Rule made his career in the early 2000’s. Ja Rule even pointed that out when he got on the Mic to address the crowd. While on the Mic getting ready to perform you can see the fans left to eat and ignored him, even the DJ was not ready and we hear the show was terrible and failure. Reportedly 50 Cent was the one who paid the Milwaukee Bucks PR side with merchandise to book Ja Rule who he knew would bomb in the Milwaukee market. R. Kelly is locked up thanks to the release of a new sex tape which shows him years ago having sex with another 14 year old girl. The tape is very graphic and you without a doubt can see it is R. Kelly performing sexual acts on the girl. Defense lawyer Michael Avenatti spoke about the investigation. Avenatti is representing six people in the investigation, including two alleged victims, two parents, and two “whistleblowers.” Avenatti addressed the tape, explaining, “The tape was shot in the late ‘90s, approximately 1999, it depicts two separate scenes shot on two separate days within Mr. Kelly’s residence at the time. The audio on the tape, you can clearly listen to it — it is clear — the video is far superior to the video that was used in connection to the 2008 trial.
