  Over the years,  Jordan Brand  has blessed the teams from  Michael Jordan's  alma mater with many player-exclusive  Air Jordans,  and continuing that tradition is this latest  Air Jordan 5  PE made exclusively for the Tar Heels football team. The UNC Tar Heels took to  social media  yesterday to showcase their previously unseen "Carolina Blue" Air Jordan 5s. The exclusive colorway boasts elephant print throughout the entirety of the university blue-based upper and is contrasted by Nike Air branding at the heel, white shoelaces, and a black tongue featuring embroidered UNC logos. Meanwhile, a white midsole and a translucent icy blue outsole complete the look.   The 30th-anniversary celebration of the   Air Jordan 5   will reportedly spill over into 2021 as a new colorway is set to make its debut. According to  Soleheatonfeet , a pair dressed in "Anthracite/Wolf Grey-Clear-Black" is expected to hit shelves early next year. Above is a mock-up photo provided by  zSneakerheadz  which suggests that the pair will don an anthracite-colored upper with wolf grey Jumpman branding on the tongue, black midsole, and translucent outsole. The Air Jordan 5 "Anthracite" is expected to drop sometime during the first half of 2021, but an official release date hasn't been announced by the brand.   An original colorway of the beloved  Air Jordan 1 High  may be in line for a retro next year. According to  Soleheatonfeet , the "Neutral Grey" Air Jordan 1 High '85 is re-releasing for the first time in early 2021. While early photos have yet to surface, this image provided by  zSneakerheadz  suggests that the retro will be similar to the model's original  "Natural Grey"  color scheme and will feature the classic high-top cut from 1985, as seen on the  "Varsity Red"  and  "New Beginnings"  styles that dropped earlier this year.   After kicking off the year with the return of OG   Dunk  Low colorways,   Nike   has welcomed the 1985 sneaker's high-top variation back into the fold too. Thus far, we've seen a retro of the "Michigan" make up as well as new styles, and now we can confirm that another familiar pair is headed back to retailers. Part of the Dunk's original "Be True to Your School" campaign, the Iowa Hawkeyes-inspired Highs will be releasing again next month. Often nicknamed "Goldenrod," the black and yellow pair was first seen in 1985 and saw a reissue in 1999 alongside a friends and family exclusive  Wu-Tang collaboration  complete with the group's W logo at the heel. The Wu-Tang pair is legendary, but the OG "Iowa" version is where it all started. After  Nike  recently applied the sashiko stitching method to the  SB Dunk Low  and the  Kyrie S2 Hybrid ,  Jordan Brand  could use the Japanese theme for an upcoming release. Although details are currently slim, a leaked image provided by  wavegod_thelegend  shows what looks to be the toe box of the popular  Air Jordan 4  wearing a patchwork denim that could be created from the aforementioned stitching style that's generally used on worn-down materials to make it "new" again. The remainder of the shoe remains unseen, but it's likely that the theme will carry onto the rest of the upper.   A new version of the OG "Dark Charcoal"   Air Jordan 9   is rumored to be hitting retailers sometime during early part of 2021. Mock-ups provided by   ZSneakerHeadz  give us an idea of what the variation may look like. Based on the rendering, the shoe appears to be wrapped in black and grey nubuck, with a black midsole and grey rubber bottoms. In place of red, hits of University Gold add pop to the Jumpman logos, pull-tab, heel embroidery and inner lining. This "Dark Charcoal" Jordan 9 may also be similar to the "Citrus" colorway that released in 2010. The most recent Air Jordan 9 to have released was the  "Racer Blue"  colorway that dropped back in January.   More   Michael Jordan   sneaker memorabilia is up for auction this month, and this time its one of the most historic shoes he wore during his NBA playing career. Sotheby's  and Goldin Auctions are auctioning off a game-worn and signed pair of the original  Air Jordan 6 "Infrared"  that was worn by MJ during Game 4 of the 1991 NBA Finals, where he would ultimately capture his first championship in. Jordan then gifted this pair to Sonny Vaccaro, the former Nike Executive who signed MJ to his first sneaker deal in 1984. Despite the wear-and-tear on the shoe, Sotheby's and Goldin Auctions are currently estimating the pair will fetch between $500 to $750,000 given its historical context.
