'He Got Game' Air Jordan 13s Confirmed for Summer Release Marking the film's 20th anniversary.

The rumored return of the "He Got Game" Air Jordan 13 is now official.
Last seen in 2013, the OG Air Jordan 13 colorway was worn by Denzel Washington's Jake Shuttlesworth character in the 1998 film, which helped birth its now-ubiquitous nickname. Of course, it was also donned by Michael Jordan himself over the course of the Chicago Bulls' 1997-98 championship season. 
The "He Got Game" colorway blends white and black leather with black suede which extends to the midsole. A red outsole and tongue Jumpman logo add dashes of color, while the heel hologram stands out with its contrasting color.
This remastered retro is locked in for an August 25 release for $190.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
