'Ghost Green' Air Jordan 5s Releasing Later Than Expected Paying homage to Will Smith's iconic character.

It looks like Jordan Brand will once again pay homage to Will Smith's character from the The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air sitcom with a new Air Jordan 5 colorway reportedly dropping next year.

According to zSneakerheadz and mr_unloved1s, the latest iteration of the Jordan 5 features a white-based upper paired with vibrant accents, similar to the style that released in 2013. Note that the image above is a mockup to what is rumored to release, as an early look at the shoe has yet to surface.

Smith's relationship with Jordan Brand has been well documented. In celebration of his 50th birthday last year, the brand dropped a remixed version of the classic "Grape" Air Jordan 5, which featured a laceless design true to how his character wore the kicks on the show. Additionally, they gifted him a friends and family version of the sneaker that was limited to just 23 pairs.

The upcoming Air Jordan 5 "Bel-Air" is currently rumored to drop sometime during Summer 2020. Keep it locked Here for updates.

UPDATE (08/05): After originally being advertised for an Aug. 9 release, the "Ghost Green" Air Jordan 5 is now set to release on Saturday, Aug. 15 from SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year.
