First Look at the New Patta x Air Max 1 Releasing This Year One of two colorways expected to release soon.

 One of the stores that helped make Nike Air Max sneakers coveted in the late 2000s and 2010s is linking back up with the Swoosh for a new project.

Amsterdam retailer Patta is set to release a new set of Air Max 1 sneakers soon, and today we have a first look via images shared by Twitter user @StashedSNKRS. The pair pictured is said to be one of two styles on the way, this one coming in Metallic Silver/Monarch/Pure Platinum while a second colorway is expected to feature similar blocking in Metallic Silver/Noise Aqua/Pure Platinum. The early information comes courtesy of @pyleaks, which is also listing an expected retail price of $160 for the pairs. 

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 uses a design reminiscent of the sneaker’s original looks but remixes the mudguard with a jagged wavy section instead of the traditional smoother cut. Other details include a premium white leather, mini Swoosh at the toe, and a mesh bash. Given the Metallic Silver call out in the colorway, it’s also possible that this pair will feature reflective 3M portions. The collab will also come packaged in a custom box.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
