Kobe Bryant's Adidas Dunk Contest Shoes Are Returning in 2022 Here's an official look.

As reported earlier this year, several Adidas basketball sneakers that Kobe Bryant wore during the early years of his storied NBA career are returning to shelves in 2022 including the EQT Elevation he laced up during his rookie season in 1997.

Shown here are the official Adidas product images of next year’s EQT Elevation release, which has been renamed the Crazy 97 EQT. Bryant famously wore this iteration of the shoe during the 1997 NBA Slam Dunk Contest at that year’s All-Star Weekend in Cleveland and fittingly enough, the 2022 All-Star festivities will also take place in Cleveland.

The model’s standout feature is the Feet You Wear tech on the tooling, which serves as an extension of the wearer’s foot as seen with the rounded outsole design that’s meant to keep the foot closer to the ground.

As of now, release details for the Crazy 97 EQT have yet to be announced by Adidas but stay tuned to onedopeassblogger for new developments as they become available.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
