Carhartt WIP's First New Balance Collab Drops Next Week New take on the 990v1

 New Balance keeps the collaborations coming this month by joining forces with Carhartt WIP to deliver their first-ever sneaker and apparel collection.

The workwear company has decided to give the classic 990v1 model for its first go-around with the Boston-based company. According to New Balance, the sneaker references the sculpture centers found across various neighborhood gyms across the States. The result is the sneaker seen below, which dons a combination of gray and dark blue hues.

In addition to the sneaker, the brands continue to expand on the project’s theme with the accompanying Carhartt WIP Arcan jacket, co-branded graphic t-shirts, and accessories, including a reversible beanie, towel, and water bottle.

The Carhartt WIP x New Balance collection will be released on Sept. 16 at Carhartt-wip.com, newbalance.com, and select retailers. The shoe will retail for $190. Grab a closer look at the pieces from the capsule below.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street.
