Three arrested after Florida homeowner beaten unconscious with own shotgun

 

Three people are in custody without bond following a violent break-in where a homeowner was beaten unconscious with his own firearm, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities arrested Tyler Keller, 22, of Hawthorne, alongside siblings Stacy Oliver, 23, and Saniyah Oliver, 22, both of Interlachen. All three face felony charges in connection with the July 18 incident on Pine Drive. Investigators said the break-in happened around 1:30 a.m. The victim told deputies he had cleaned his shotgun the previous evening and left it in his living room. He woke up when a light turned on in his bedroom and saw a hooded man pointing the gun at his face. The homeowner also reported seeing Stacy Oliver standing beside his girlfriend.

When the victim lunged for the firearm, a physical fight broke out. The suspect struck the homeowner during the struggle, knocking him unconscious and inflicting severe facial injuries.

While the victim was unconscious, the suspects allegedly warned his girlfriend that they would harm the family if anyone called law enforcement. Deputies said Saniyah Oliver then went to the front porch and confronted a witness who was trying to call for help, telling him to drop his phone or she would shoot him. The witness fled, and the suspects left with the shotgun, vehicle keys, and cash. 

The victim did not immediately contact police due to the threats made against his family. His girlfriend drove him to a hospital later that day, where medical staff determined his face was severely fractured and required surgery. The crime was reported to the sheriff’s office four days later. The investigation gained traction after a friend showed the victim a video in which Keller allegedly bragged about the assault. Detectives then tied Keller to Stacy Oliver, discovering the two had attended high school together.

On July 27, detectives interviewed Stacy Oliver, who admitted to picking up Keller at his sister Saniyah’s request. Stacy Oliver was arrested and charged with home invasion robbery and aggravated battery. Later that day, Saniyah Oliver turned herself in and was charged with home invasion robbery, aggravated assault, and accessory to a first-degree felony.

On July 28, the victim located Keller and drove him directly to the sheriff’s office. Following an interview with detectives, Keller was arrested and charged with home invasion robbery and aggravated battery.

All three suspects remain held without bond at the Putnam County Jail, and officials noted the investigation is still ongoing.
