Virgil Abloh Shares Unreleased Nike and Jordan Samples At his Harvard Graduate School of Design lecture.
According to Nike, Virgil Abloh's ten-sneaker project with the brand was one of its fastest ever, with the collaboration going from idea to retail reality in just ten months. But, that's not to say that the sneakers involved didn't go through changes in that span.
In a lecture at Harvard's Graduate School of Design last Thursday, the Off-White designer showed physical samples from the pack and images from early in the design stages. These included a Converse with a Swoosh across the side, his first Off-White x Air Jordan 1 design, and never-before-seen Air Force 1s.
After this month's wide release of the Virgil Abloh x Nike "The Ten" sneakers, there is more to come in 2018. Nike confirmed last week that it will release new colorways of Virgil's designs in the second half of next year.
