When It All Falls Down Chapter Three( Based On A True Story)

Image
Too Low was already sitting on the porch when Jack pulled up. He stood up as Jack stepped out of the car. “What’s good with you, folk?” Jack shrugged. “Shit, I can’t call it.” Too Low looked him up and down. “Where you comin’ from?” “Just bought that building I told you about. Now I gotta find somebody to renovate it.” Too Low laughed—not playful, but like he couldn’t believe it. “You really goin’ through with this shit, huh?” “Hell yeah,” Jack said, looking him dead in the eye. “Come on, bro. Think about it. Look at all the dope boys we knew growing up. Where are they now?” Too Low didn’t answer. He didn’t have to. “Dead,” Jack continued, “or in jail. And I don’t know about you, but this shit is getting old. It’s time for something real.” Too Low kicked at a loose step on the porch. “I mean… shit… I hear you.” “You should come into business with me,” Jack said. “We can make real money.” That got Too Low’s attention. “Mane… is we gon’ make money off this shit?” Ja...

When It All Falls Down Chapter Two(Based On A True Story)

Image
Jack ended the call and shook his head. “Man, these hoes are crazy.” But he wasn’t surprised. He knew the game—fake love, fake loyalty, everybody wanting to be close because he had money. He'd watched plenty of dealers fall before him, and when they did, the same people who laughed, smoked, and popped bottles with them disappeared. No money on books. No visits. No loyalty. So what made him different? Nothing. Not a muthafuckin’ thing. That’s why Jack was focused. The streets were temporary. His mind was already shifting toward legitimacy. His businesses were already washing his money; now he just needed to fully step away. He walked to the freezer, grabbed a Hungry Man dinner , tossed it in the microwave, and set the timer. While it heated, he dropped onto the sofa and put on the latest episode of Power . When the microwave beeped, he grabbed his food, ate, and called it a night. The next morning, he woke to the alarm on his iPhone 8. He stretched, got up, and turned on Go...

When It All Falls Down Chapter One ( Based On A True Story)

Image
On the surface, Jack had everything he wanted. But lately, life was starting to drain him. He wasn’t the flashy type of drug dealer—no iced-out chains, no stacks of cash posted online. Hell, the man drove a 1996 Toyota on purpose. Everything he did was calculated to stay off the police radar. Jack had legitimate businesses—family-run spots that made real money. The streets were just extra, a way he came up. But now? It felt more like a weight than a blessing. His main plug was Tony, a Mexican dude he went to school with. Tony had been deported years ago, but they stayed in touch through Facebook. When Tony found out Jack was hustling, he plugged him in with better products and better prices. It wasn’t personal—it was business. And tonight was supposed to be the last run. Jack pulled out his phone and called his right-hand, Too Low. They grew up together in the Mercenary Projects. Jack’s mother never liked him. “There’s somethin’ about that boy,” she would always say. Jack was ...

Vibrant Colors on the Winterized Air Jordan 9 Boot A 90s look for the reworked hoop silhouette.

Image
Following its OG  "Olive"  debut, a second colorway of the winterized  Air Jordan 9  NRG Boot has already surfaced. Jordan Brand's Frank Cooker offers an initial look at the make-up, which fits the colorful outerwear aesthetic of the 90s. Cooker commented on the colorway in his Instagram caption. "The cool thing about working through a winterized update to an iconic silhouette like the AJ IX is that the team can have a little fun with color blocking. It gives us a visual to work off of to see what works and what doesn’t work." It's not clear whether or not this Jordan 9 NRG Boot will eventually make it to retail, but Cooker's caption suggests more colorful options are indeed on the way.

Nike Air More Uptempos for the ATL The latest city-inspired colorway.

Image
Following leaks of an upcoming Chicago edition of the  Nike Air More Uptempo , we now have a look at one honoring the ATL. The Atlanta edition, first seen on  The Shoe Game's Instagram account , is the second to be spotted in a city-based series  that's said to also include New York . Similar to the Chicago pair, it eschews the traditional "AIR" on the upper for lettering of its own. The shoe has a  predominantly white upper with green "ATL" font and gold trim. No sneaker release details are available at this time. Supreme's 2017 collaboration  was the first time in two decades that the Air More Uptempo strayed from Nike's standard "AIR" branding on the side.

Although today's  Nike SB  might not hold the same allure that it did years ago, there is still a great history for the brand to recall in order to deliver a solid drop every now and then. The latest Dunk using this strategy is the Nike SB Zoom Dunk Low Elite x Medicom "Bearbrick." This collaborative effort from Nike SB and Medicom celebrates the 15-year anniversary of Nike SB, and also commemorates a shoe partnership that started back in 2004 with the release of the original  "Medicom" Dunk Low . This particular pair takes inspiration  from the "Medicom 2."  Like the original, it features grey denim on the midpanel, heel, and toebox, and black denim around the toe and heel, as well as the eyelets and Swoosh. While this pair has the same materials as the original, the silhouette has a thinner tongue, more flexible outsole, and lighter overall weight. It sports a Bearbrick logo on the tongue tag and specially branded insoles. The Nike SB Dunk L...
