This 'Valentine's Day' Nike Dunk Releases Next Month Arriving on SNKRS

As reported on Complex Sneakers in July, Nike is expected to celebrate Valentine’s Day next year with the release of a new Dunk Low colorway. Despite its release being months away, we now have a detailed look at the shoe.

This forthcoming “Valentine’s Day” Dunk Low pictured here dons a two-tone maroon and sail upper, with pink hits covering the Swoosh branding as well as the tongue tag and heel tab. It’s worth noting that this pair does not feature any special details that refer back to the holiday.

In addition to the aforementioned Dunk, the 2023 “Valentine’s Day” pack will include new Air Trainer 1, and Air More Uptempo colorways that are also dressed in pink, red, and sail hues.

As of now, this “Valentine’s Day” Nike Dunk Low is expected to drop around Valentine’s Day in 2023 but official release details have not yet been announced by the Swoosh. Check back soon to one dope ass blogger for updates in the coming months.

UPDATE (01/25): For those who struck out on copping this year’s “Valentine’s Day” Dunk Lows early on SNKRS yesterday, the brand confirmed that the shoe is releasing again on Feb. 7 via the app for $120. Grab a detailed look at the shoe below.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
