Closer Look at the 'Cement' Air Jordan 1 Low Inspired by the 'Black Cement' Jordan 3

Not only is the iconic “White Cement” Air Jordan 3 returning this month, but there’s also an upcoming Air Jordan 1 on the way that’s doing its best “Black Cement” Jordan 3 impersonation.

The “Black Cement” Air Jordan 1 Low shown here was unveiled last week via SNKRS Live as part of Jordan Brand’s 2023 Summer Air Jordan offerings. The shoe sports a black-based nubuck upper and is offset by the Jordan 3’s signature elephant print featured on the overlay panels along with a white Swoosh branding on the sides. The rest of the look is completed with a sail midsole and a grey outsole.

According to @zSneakerheadz on Instagram, this “Black Cement” Air Jordan 1 Low will be released on June 23 for $140. Check back soon to One Dope Ass Blogger for official updates in the coming weeks.

UPDATE (06/08): Official images of the “Cement” Air Jordan 1 Low have loaded on the backend of Nike’s website. As of now, the Jordan 3-inspired colorway is set to hit retailers on June 23 for $140.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
