Before companies fully embraced the idea of All-Star-specific sneaker colorways, Michael Jordan broke out Air Jordans that didn’t exactly align with the Chicago Bulls’ uniforms for the weekend’s festivities in the early 90s. One of those pairs, and arguably the best, was the “Aqua” Air Jordan 8, Known for its vibrant purple and aqua details, the shoe didn’t meet regular season uniform standards, but was perfectly suited for the star-studded exhibition in Salt Lake City. Now, thirty years later, Jordan Brand is paying homage to the “Aqua” 8 with an inspired take on another championship-era model.
According to Sole Retriever, the Air Jordan 6 is due for an “Aqua” makeover that will hit retail this holiday season. While official images of the upcoming retro haven’t surfaced, the supplied mock-up suggests the shoe will be black-based, with purple and aqua accents throughout.
An official release date hasn’t been announced yet, but we do know the retro will release in full-family sizing, beginning at $200 for the men's pair. Keep an eye out for updates and a first look in the months ahead.

The Air Force 1 is once again expected to be a part of this year's Halloween-themed releases from Nike via this new colorway previewed by @Swiftsole on Instagram. Switching things up from the multiple "Skeleton" Air Force 1 styles we've seen throughout the previous years, this upcoming "Halloween" Air Force 1 Low is equipped with a stealthy black tumbled leather upper that's paired with matching snakeskin-esque overlay panels. The sneaker also comes with special Jack-o'-lantern lace dubraes, ghoulish "Nike" branding on the tongue, as well as a green and grey outsole. In addition to the aforementioned Air Force 1, Nike is also releasing a Halloween-themed Ja 1 colorway coming out this fall. At the time of writing, release details for this "Halloween" Air Force 1 Low have yet to be announced by the brand but this pair is expected to hit retailers this fall in time for the holiday. The Nike Air Force 1 isn’t going away anytime soon after the silhouette celebrated its 40 th anniversary last year. As expected, there are more special releases on the way including this pair designed in collaboration with jewelry maker Tiffany & Co. Newly leaked images from @Gabeagool on Twitter show the first look at the unreleased Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 Low. The shoe wears a simple black-based color scheme predominantly on the leather and suede upper, with Tiffany’s iconic teal hue covering the Swoosh logos. The images also confirm that the shoe features co-branded silver plates on the heel and tongue tag, while a tonal black midsole sits below.
