At HoochieCon, Black women's sexual power and agency take center stage

Event creater and curator Zorine Truly dances at the HoochieCon party on Saturday in Glendale. When taking in the images of Black women that adorned the gallery space at HoochieCon, it’s clear the creator and curator, Zorine Truly, 37, has a major soft spot for hoochie mamas — fly Black women who harness the power of their sexuality and creative expression as they see fit. Photos on the walls of the Glendale event space Junior High depict women with artful multilayered updos reaching for the heavens, big smiles sparkling with gold embellishments, vibrant acrylic nails as imaginative as they are long. This Spider-Man Air Jordan 1 Stash Utility Is Limited to 100 Pairs Given out to select friends and family members of the brand.

  As it turns out, the  Air Jordan 1 "Next Chapter"  wasn't the only  Jordan Brand  sneaker featured in the film  Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse . Fans may have also spotted the unreleased Jordan 1 Utility Stash that also appeared in the movie. Now, we're learning more about it.   Before companies fully embraced the idea of All-Star-specific sneaker colorways, Michael Jordan broke out Air Jordans that didn’t exactly align with the Chicago Bulls’ uniforms for the weekend’s festivities in the early 90s. One of those pairs, and arguably the best, was the “Aqua” Air Jordan 8, Known for its vibrant purple and aqua details, the shoe didn’t meet regular season uniform standards, but was perfectly suited for the star-studded exhibition in Salt Lake City.   This summer, Jordan Brand and Converse are coming together to celebrate the early years of Michael Jordan's legendary career. Included in the upcoming Air Jordan x Converse Pack are a "UNC" colorway of the  Fastbreak Mid  and the "Alumni Game"  Air Jordan 2 Retro . The Fastbreak Mid was one of young Jordan's weapons before turning pro, most notably worn during the 1984 Olympic Games. A fairly random reference, the "Alumni Game" Jordan 2 is inspired by a Player Exclusive pair worn by Jordan  during a Dean Smith dedication alumni game  played in January 1986.
