Step-father fighting for life after being shot by step-son, police say

Memphis police are investigating a shooting in North Memphis. According to Memphis Fire Dispatch, one person was taken to Regional One from the 1400 block of Jackson Avenue. The business is called North Side Deli and Grocery.  When FOX13 arrived, there were at least seven police cars and crime scene tape was surrounding the scene.  Police said the victim advised he was shot by his juvenile step-son. The original shooting happened on the 900 block of N. Watkins. 

Nike Is Dropping 'Dirty' AF1s for ATL Another city homage is on the way.

If there is a tried and true method to get people extra excited about the ubiquitous  Air Force 1 , it's by paying homage to a specific city in its design. Atlanta gets honored with multiple cues in this upcoming white-based AF1.  Some of the aforementioned design flourishes include "The Dirty" scripted on the heel tab, "ATL" on the deubre and the insole, and a "Peach" (Georgia is the Peach State) etched into the outer vamp. Gold stitching is woven throughout the Swoosh as well the shoe's trim, and there's also an icy blue outsole to complete the package. The release date and pricing for this "The Dirty" Air Force 1 Low has yet to be confirmed.

First Look at the 'Hot Punch' Air Jordan 4 Women's colorway with patent leather uppers.

A brand new women's colorway of the  Air Jordan 4  has surfaced.  Dubbed the "Hot Punch" Air Jordan 4, this vibrant makeup covers the popular retro model in a pink patent leather upper with hot punch accents on the mesh cage, triangular straps, heel tab, liner, and midsole. Black is used on the Jumpman on each heel and upside down "Air Jordan" tags on the inner tongue, and a black and yellow splatter adorns the midsole.  Despite using a different shade and materials, this pair utilizes a similar tonal construction to the recently-released  "Singles Day" colorway  that featured an all-red upper with black branding. Woman murdered in Trenton Tuesday, suspects set getaway car on fire

TRENTON — A reputed gang member who was suspected in several capital city shootings was gunned down Tuesday afternoon in a notorious crime hotspot.  Shaela Johnson, a 19-year-old member of the Crips street gang, was shot and killed around 2:15 p.m. when two gunmen sprayed up the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue, according to law enforcement who say she was shot approximately 14 times. Police sources say video of the shooting shows the gunmen pull up in front of a deli, jump out of a vehicle and fire at Johnson and another person standing with her on the corner. The store was effectively closed for the day following the latest capital city bloodshed. Sources say Johnson appears to be the target of the shooting, as one gunman stood over her and fired a few rounds while she was on the ground, striking her in the arms, chest and head. Video shows a second gunman chase a second victim down the street, but it’s unclear whether that person was struck by gunfire, according to police.

WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO LEADING PROSTITUTION RING IN CALIFORNIA

A 23-year-old woman will face justice for running a prostitution ring in California. Melanie Denae Williams was  indicted earlier this year  on charges that include sex trafficking an adult by force, fraud or coercion; two counts of sex trafficking of a minor; and two counts of enticement of a minor to engage in prostitution as reported by  Rollingout.  Williams now faces a life in person because of her deplorable actions. The Department of Justice reports Williams forced a woman into prostitution after recruitment by social media. In addition, Williams forced the victim to strip off her clothes then proceeded to pour bleach on her and beat her with a broomstick. The abuse also included branding of the victim with a tattoo to the face. The court documents also relay that Williams threatened to kill the woman if she tried to escape. Williams, the self-proclaimed “Most Hated Hoe in L.A.,” coped a plea deal in order to be eligible for a reduced sentence. Because of the plea deal, W

'Somebody had to get it': Memphis grandmother killed in front of grandson

An arrest has been made after a Memphis grandmother was gunned down in front of her 9-year-old grandson. Police said the shooting happened on 1300 block of Wabash on October 24. When police arrived, they found a car littered with bullet holes and Beverly Jacks dead in the driver's seat. She was shot multiple times. Her grandson, who was seated feet away, was not hit.  Detectives said they discovered that this shooting was possibly linked to another shooting early that day.  A witness was able to identify Cortez Graham and Alfonzo Kennedy as two people inside car where the shots came from.  The witness also said Bemley said he thought he shot someone else, and when he learned he had shot the wrong person he said, "$%#. somebody had to get it." A CrimeStopper tip also led police to where the car used in the shooting was located.  Graham and Kennedy said Marlo Bemley was the shooter.  Bemley was arrested and admitted to police he was driving the car, but not

'Point him out': Dad goes with son to Memphis school, accused of assaulting student, woman

A Memphis dad was arrested after an assault in a high school gym, police said. MPD said Michael McMillan and his son walked into the old gym of Craigmont High School during after-school hours on October 26. According to investigators, when McMillan walked through the door, a woman tried to stop him. But he pushed past her. olice said the dad asked for his son to 'point him out.' The son pointed to a student on the bleachers and that's when McMillan punched the student in the head twice. During the assault, police said a woman tried to stop the attack and McMillan knocked her off the bleachers. Both victims have pressed charges. McMillan is charged with two counts of Simple Assault.

Man brought AR-15 rifle to mall during Thanksgiving weekend, police said( Video Inside)

here was a scare at a Georgia mall as hundreds of families were shopping during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, police say. Police confirm    they arrested a man who brought a gun to the Cumberland Mall. Investigators said the gun was an AR-15 rifle,  the most popular gun in America . Police say 23-year old Lecarl Weems also had a backpack containing a   magazine clip with ammunition.   For shoppers, this news was unsettling to hear. "You never know what he might do, he might terrorize everything. You know, you could just go shooting, and we don’t want that," said Veronica Thompson. Police said a shopper in the food court noticed something sticking out of Weems’ bag.  The shopper approached Weems and asked him questions near the restrooms. Police said Weems opened the bag and showed the shopper the AR-15.  According to a police report, the shopper “left the area in fear of the safety of his family and other patrons in the mall.” "It would very much conc

Clown-masked shooters kill Jackson business owner

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - A 41-year-old barber shop owner was shot and killed Sunday, at his Jackson business, by four men wearing clown masks, police say. The shooting occurred just after 1 p.m. at the 3900 block of Bullard Street. Relatives of the victim, grieving at the scene, tell WJTV 12 his name was Marcus Hamblin. Hamblin had been sitting in his vehicle outside his storefront, when the masked men pulled up, got out, and fired several rounds into his upper torso, as he sat alone in the driver seat of his car. Witnesses say police arrived three minutes after the firing ceased. Shell casings collected by police, from the surrounding area, are believed to be that of a 9mm pistol.  Area business owners say they hid for their own safety when they heard rapid-fire shots at 1:13 p.m. The shots are said to have sounded like “a machine gun.” The firing paused momentarily and then resumed. After those completely underwhelming "City Pack"   Air Jordan 10   releases in 2016, it sounds like a classic from the original 1994-95 lineup is on its way back for the first time. According to  Zsneakerheadz , the "Orlando" Jordan 10 will be making a return to retail in Dec. 2018. Last available in limited quantities in 1995, the shoe sports a Magic-inspired white leather upper, black trim and royal blue accents. A Player Exclusive version was worn by Nick Anderson during Michael Jordan's first retirement. The OG release is pictured here—photos of the upcoming retro have not yet hit the web. Naked man walks into Subway in Memphis, steals bag of chips before being arrested, owner says

A Memphis man is in jail after police said he stripped naked in the parking lot of a Subway around noon Friday.  Police arrested Kip Suttle and charged him with vandalism and assault. They told FOX13 they received the call just before noon in the 6400 block of Summer Avenue. Police: Teens assaulted, carjacked while eating lunch in Memphis church parking lot

Two teenagers were assaulted and carjacked while they were eating lunch in their car in a Memphis church parking lot, police said.  The incident happened on Nov. 11, MPD said. According to a police affidavit, the victims – both 17-years-old – were sitting in their car at the Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabria Miel church on Chuck Avenue in Parkway Village when two men approached their vehicle.Police said one of the men threw a “concrete rock at the driver’s side window,” cracking it. The other man opened the passenger door and dragged the male teen out of the vehicle. That suspect punched him, kicked him in the head and hit him in the head with the concrete rock, knocking him unconscious.  According to the report, the female teen was pulled out of the car by her hair and punched in the head as well.  Police said the suspects took her cell phone and purse, along with the vehicle.  One of the suspects – Ketevio Lee, 17 – was identified by a fingerprint he left on the car.                                   Following  initial rumblings  a few months back, the fan favorite "Concord"  Air Jordan 11  is going to be this year's annual holiday release. The "Concord" 11 will make its return ahead of Christmas this December. Expect this classic black and white colorway of MJ's eleventh signature model to feature a remastered construction with a higher cut of patent leather like has been seen on other recent Retro 11 releases. Additionally, the heel will be adorned by the number '45' in place of '23' to match Jordan's 1995 PE     a detail that will certainly be welcomed by Jordan Brand fanatics.
