Even though there is still a month until Christmas, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden is already playing the role of Santa for some of his teammates. Haden, who has only been a part of the team since the beginning of this season, gifted his fellow defensive backs pairs of the Air Jordan 11 "Win Like '96."

Even though there is still a month until Christmas, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Hadenis already playing the role of Santa for some of his teammates. Haden, who has only been a part of the team since the beginning of this season, gifted his fellow defensive backs pairs of the Air Jordan 11 "Win Like '96."
This colorway does not hit retailers until Dec. 16, but Haden's being a member of the Jordan Brand roster apparently allowed him early access to some pairs.
The red-based Air Jordan 11 "Win Like '96" paying tribute to the Chicago Bulls' 1996 NBA Championship releases on Dec. 16 for $220.

10 killed, 73 shot in bloodiest week of the year

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS)  - A  violent weekend  capped off Chicago's bloodiest week of the year. From April 30 through May 6, 10 people were killed and 73 others were wounded in gun violence across Chicago. This latest outbreak of violence underscores how gunmen are literally getting away with crimes up to and including murder. Overwhelmed police detectives have 155 currently active investigations of 2018 homicides, while "solving" or "clearing" 27 cases, barely 17 percent.  The clearance rate has dropped steadily in recent years, leaving thousands of murders in the last decade unsolved and thousands of killers still on the street. Chicago Police used to solve more than 60 percent of murders, back in the 1990s. New York City cops still do. But the number of CPD detectives has been cut since then.  As Mayor Rahm Emanuel prepares to run for re-election, he'll swear in 100 new detectives later this month and promises 100 more by the end of the year. Rapper XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was  shot to death  at the age of 20 Monday, wasn’t yet a household name. But he was well on his way.
